This strap is made in the 'NATO' style, so called because of its use on NATO uniforms, where it was chosen for its adjustability (an original longer NATO strap can be worn over the sleeve of a jacket) and it's reliability- because the strap runs underneath the spring bars of the watch, rather than fixing to them, the watch is less likely to come off if it's knocked.
The reverse of the strap is silver foil-stamped, and the fittings are fastened with strong ecru thread. The strap width is 18mm, making it suitable for most men's watches, and it is 2mm thick, so it will fit snugly under the watch's spring bars.
As well as being available on its own, the strap can also be bought with Tender's Everest, Explorer, and Station Hands-On mechanical wrist watches. To keep the strap supple and in top condition you could use some pure mutton tallow Boot Grease.
