PURPLE LOGWOOD DYED BIAS CUT BOXER SHORTS

£45.00 (inc VAT) £37.50 (exc VAT)

Tender's boxer shorts are made in England of all cotton satin, woven in England and cut entirely on the bias, giving them built-in stretch. They are then dyed in England with purple logwood.

These shorts are cut from a pattern directly based on Tender's signature 'trews', which themselves are an adaptation of an early Scottish form of trousers ('trews' is probably where the word 'trousers' originated). Trews were cut without a side seam (as these shorts are), and entirely on on the bias (diagonal) of the cloth. By cutting these shorts on the bias of the cotton satin, they stretch easily without resorting to a synthetic-blend fabric.

The waistband is elasticated, and there is a fully functioning crossover fly with two waist buttons. The buttons are tailors' 'strap buttons' used on Savile Row for trouser flies. The size and care labels are sewn on to the outside at the back of the waistband, to keep them from becoming scratchy. This production of Tender boxer shorts fits  rather snugly - we recommend buying one size larger than your usual size. Please contact us with any sizing questions.

Tender's boxer shorts are also available hand dyed woad, or black with logwood, or in raw ecru. Hand-striped Tshirts and vests are also available dyed with the same purple logwood as these boxers.
